February 21st meeting
We discussed the Colonies show at this week's meeting. After taking a poll of the groups, it looks like we will have a great show! Don't forget that the deadline for submissions is March 15.
We also discussed the organization of this year's "Art on the Bricktown Canal". There are several necessary committees and we need the help of all groups in order to make this another wonderful venue for outdoor sales. Carol Webster is the committee chairman. Please contact Carol at carol12349@yahoo.com for more info or to volunteer.
At Tuesday's meeting, Frank Fowler reminded us that one of the most important goals of TAG is to find a permanent home for TAG to show the work of Oklahoma artists. We are own best resource to find this place. Please let one of the members know if you hear about a space that might work for us.
Remember the Colonies show is in May. If you need a prospectus, please contact Karoll Kyle at karollsews@msn.com

- Communication is the focus of this year. In order for us to grow this group and provide more opportunities for our member artists, we need to get the word out to the groups. Please pass on the information to your groups and encourage them to get more involved.
- Karoll Kyle-Folkers is gaining momentum in planning "The Colonies Art Exhibition 2006". She is recruiting volunteers to help with several committees, such as planning the artist reception, hanging the show, graphic arts for printed materials, and taking down the show. The show dates are May 6-May 31, 2006. There will be more info soon about these committee functions, as well as the entry prospectus.
- It will soon be time to start planning "Art on the Bricktown Canal, 2006". The show chairman is Carol Webster and she will start putting committees together the first part of February.
- The downtown library show on Opening Night was a success. Lynden did a beautiful job building and putting up the display boards. Thank you to all who helped check in the art, hang it and sat with the show on New Year's Eve. It was well-visited and enjoyed by many.
- We will be having a fund-raiser in April for TAG. We are going to sell tickets to a dress rehearsal at The Jewel Box theater. Mark your calendars for April 12, 2006. More info in the near future.
Have a creative week!
